From Australia, to Hong Kong, to Cambodia

I am originally from Sydney. I graduated there. I was proud when I started working in tax at a Big 4 accounting firm. After doing my 100th tax return, I knew this wasn’t for me. I switched careers. I joined an international law firm. I worked on high profile corporate M&A deals and IPOs. I enjoyed the fast pace.

I moved to Hong Kong for love. And work. I was on track for partnership. But my career and my relationship didn’t feel right anymore. I switched careers again. I went “in-house” and became the Head of Legal for Australia’s largest retail bank. I had successfully climbed the corporate ladder. Until I was laid off at the end of 2019 in Hong Kong.

Before then, I’d never volunteered. I was too busy. I wanted to help a Cambodian children’s charity after a transformational visit to its facilities in August 2019. I was the MC for its prestigious HK gala dinner.

In early 2020, I moved to Cambodia. By now, I’d relocated on my own. Three times. Covid came. I joined the global NGO Board, as its first Cambodian. Whilst I was a full-time volunteer. I was a legal and business advisor and mentor for start ups too. I became the President of a non profit Cambodian Society.

In early 2021, I co-founded a talk show to inspire Cambodian women. I now work with Cambodia’s first mental health and holistic wellness clinic as a Transformation Coach.

I’ve been on a huge roller coaster ride coming (back) to my motherland. I never thought I’d end up here. Or become a Transformation Coach. Business Consultant. And Soul Healer. But I have.

Throughout my journey, I’ve always been authentic. I don’t fluff. I’m intuitive (I didn’t know for a long time). I’m an empath. I love connecting with people. I’m creative. I love puns. I’m warm. I smile and I laugh. Alot.

Now I get to bring all of that, and more, in helping others. In a country that felt like home the moment I arrived.
